Urquhart Media works closely with Universities and Councils to create their media content.

Dr Atenchong Talleh Nkobou commissioned Urquhart Media to film a workshop in Glasgow that brought together Scottish land experts and activists to explore other possibilities of land use and reform informed by experiences from academics from the global south.
We created a 1 minute social media clip encouraging viewers to click on to a 3 minute film on the workshop. We also created an 11 minute talking head film of key experts giving an oversight on why they are focusing their research on Scottish land rights, historical and contemporary landownership patterns and land reforms, and hopes for future Scottish land ownership.

Edinburgh College of Art
ECA commissioned Urquhart Media to film many aspects of the visit to Edinburgh of Kenneth B. Morris, Jr. who is the direct descendent of Frederick Douglass.
Professor Celeste Marie Bernier took Mr Morris on a tour of Edinburgh, they visited the archival room in the National Library of Scotland, they undertook a discussion for the public at the NLS and Ken gave a Carnegie Lecture at the Assembly Rooms in George Street where Frederick Douglass gave many speeches.
Urquhart Media involved film students from the ECA in the filming of this visit to give them filming experience.

Edinburgh City Council / Edinburgh Slavery and Colonialism Legacy Review Implementation Group
Irene Mosota, chair of the Edinburgh Slavery and Colonialism Legacy Review Implementation Group, invited Parisa Urquhart to give a tribute to Sir Geoff Palmer OBE, and to screen her film ‘Strike for Freedom: Frederick Douglass in Scotland’ at the UNESCO International Day for the Rememberance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition (August 2025). Many of the interviews were filmed at St Cecilia’s Hall in Edinburgh so it was a beautiful coincidence that this event took place in the same hall.
